The Book Club this Sunday

October 22, 2010

Vinyl alert! Lulu Levan will be spinning not plates, but vinyl this Sunday at The Book Club, as part of new production workshop Beats Sunday Dinner which kicks off at 4pm. Levan will be digging out those 80s favourites, such as Cameo, Loose Ends plus some new bits by Lindstrom and Leo Zero. Catch her playing alongside Tony Nwachukwu and friends. Here’s a wee taster to whet that whistle. Brap!

The first time i saw Robert Owens play was back in 1991/92 at Gardening Club in Covent Garden. Moist was a Friday night affair run by DJ Harvey. Details are pretty hazy these days but i’ll never forget the long standing friendships i made there.
